Story and Setting: The Battledome

Nyan Heroes takes place in New Nekovia, a post-apocalyptic world ruled by intelligent cats. After failed experiments to merge feline DNA with mechs, the survivors fled underground and discovered Nyanite, a material that stabilized the mech-pilot fusion.

The Battledome is the heart of the game, where players fight for glory in a holographic arena. It simulates biomes from Old Nekovia, giving players a mix of environments for fast-paced, strategic combat.

Gameplay

The gameplay of Nyan Heroes combines fast-paced shooting with tactical decision-making. Players can switch between their Guardian mech and the cat pilot, using both forms’ unique abilities to turn the tide of battle.

Each Guardian class, such as the nimble Assassin or tanky Atlas, offers different combat roles. Players can further customize their experience by collecting and crafting mods that add new layers of strategy and gameplay.

Play-to-Earn and NFT Integration

Nyan Heroes stands out with its play-to-earn mechanics. Players earn CATNIP, the in-game currency, which can be used to buy items, skins, and mods.

Early Access and Testing

Nyan Heroes recently concluded its Open Pre-Alpha Playtest 03, which ran from September 4th to 25th, 2024. During this phase, players tested new features such as the Payload mode and participated in 6v6 Stronghold battles, earning rewards and providing feedback.

With the playtest now complete, the development team is reviewing player input to refine the game for upcoming stages. Early access, including exclusive beta testing for Genesis NFT holders, is expected later in 2024, offering more players the opportunity to explore new content.

Future Features and Roadmap

The future of Nyan Heroes looks promising. Planned features include a Virtual World for social interactions and displaying collectibles, as well as PvE Adventures where players can explore the deep lore of Nekovia.
