What is RavenQuest?
RavenQuest is a free-to-play, open-world MMORPG where player choice is the driving force. You can claim land, craft goods, battle foes, or plunder trade routes. The game doesn’t have a fixed class system, giving you the freedom to evolve your character in any way you choose.
A Content-Rich Open World
In RavenQuest, the world is your playground. Players can claim land anywhere to build homes, gather resources, and engage in trade. The game’s player-driven economy evolves as players take on different roles—whether you’re a farmer, adventurer, or pirate.
Archetypes: Endless Customization
One of the standout features of RavenQuest is its multi-archetype system. Players can freely customize their playstyle by choosing up to three archetypes, each with unique spells and passives. These archetypes can be changed at any time, giving you a flexible and dynamic character build.
Customization goes further with RavenCards, Legacy Spells, Passives, and Equipment, ensuring that no two characters are ever the same. Your character constantly evolves as you adapt to new challenges.
Professions: Non-Combat Mastery
In addition to adventuring and combat, RavenQuest offers rich non-combat professions. Split into gathering and crafting tasks, professions allow players to collect materials, upgrade gear, and enhance their adventures. Some key professions include:
Husbandry: Raise animals for crafting and cooking resources.
Mining & Woodcutting: Gather raw materials like ore and wood to craft powerful items.
Fishing: Catch aquatic resources to sell or cook into valuable meals.
Blacksmithing & Carpentry: Craft armor, weapons, and essential items for battle.
Cooking: Prepare meals that give buffs to enhance your character’s combat and exploration abilities.
Your land, cultivated with crops and livestock, becomes a key resource for crafting and trading, adding a peaceful and rewarding layer to the game.
Tradepacks: A Player-Driven Economy
The Tradepack System is the backbone of RavenQuest's economy. Players can create Tradepacks by combining gathered materials like ore, crops, or lumber and transporting them to Tradeposts to earn Silver and rare resources. The dynamic supply-and-demand system mimics a real-world economy, where prices fluctuate based on player activity.
Dynamic Supply and Demand: The more a Tradepost receives a certain resource, the lower the payout for that Tradepack. Rare goods delivered to low-traffic Tradeposts yield higher rewards.
Transport: Tradepacks can slow your movement, but you can use Wagons or Ships to transport goods faster and more safely.
This system encourages strategic planning, where you must weigh safer routes against riskier, more profitable paths.
Player vs Player (PvP): Intense Combat and High Rewards
RavenQuest offers thrilling PvP combat, allowing players to engage in battles across the game world. PvP can be incentivized through activities like Tradepack Plundering or Culled Spawns, but it’s completely optional for players who prefer non-combat roles. Those who embrace PvP can earn valuable rewards, including Quest Tokens ($QUEST).
The game’s PvP complexity is enhanced with Arena Ladders, Tournaments, and Guild wars where players can compete for exclusive rewards.
RavenCards: Modify and Enhance Your Skills
RavenCards allow players to modify their skills, adding more versatility and power to their abilities. Each skill has two RavenCards that can change how it functions in combat.
Obtaining RavenCards: Earn cards through Dawn Essence, a currency collected by leveling up, completing quests, or breaking down items. These cards are crucial for customizing your character’s playstyle.
Opening RavenPacks: Use Dawn Essence to purchase RavenPacks, which contain five random cards that enhance your abilities and skills.
Land Ownership: Build, Farm, and Grow
Owning land in RavenQuest is a key part of the game’s economy and progression. Players can claim land in various regions of the world, from forests to coastal areas. Once you own land, you can:
Build Houses: Customize your home’s size and design. Add rooms with specific in-game benefits like a bedroom for XP boosts or an armory for blacksmithing advantages.
Farm: Cultivate crops and raise livestock for trade or crafting.
Production Facilities: Build workshops, blacksmith stations, and carpentry shops to refine materials and craft items.
Landowners also benefit from Rarity Perks, which grant bonuses like a Mining Drill or Fishing Pond to enhance resource gathering.
Quest Tokens ($QUEST): The Premium Currency
$QUEST is RavenQuest's premium, on-chain currency. Players can earn $QUEST through bounties, Silver exchanges, or special events. $QUEST is used for:
Cosmetics: Purchase exclusive outfits, ship skins, and other visual upgrades.
Companions and Pets: Add companions to your estate to enhance your gameplay.
Exchanging for Silver: Convert $QUEST into Silver for use in the game’s economy.
The $QUEST system is designed for long-term sustainability, ensuring a balanced and rewarding in-game economy.
