About the Game#Copy URL to this article section
VulcanVerse is an open-world MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) with a heavy Greco-Roman theme that puts players in the shoes of mortals tasked to forage, battle, and build on the lands around Vulcan.
VulcanVerse serves as the main game in the Vulcan Forged Metaverse ecosystem, with other games being developed alongside it such as, Berserk, Block Babies, Forge Arena, and Vulcan Chess.
Players that partake in this world are rewarded with VulcanVerse tokens, EXP, and a chance to earn NFTs.
Welcome to the VulcanVerse
VulcanVerse Tokens#Copy URL to this article section
VulcanVerse has two tokens:
$PYR is the utility token. It is currently being used for buying or selling NFTs, staking in-game items, staking on VulcanDEX, and upgrading NFTs
$LAVA functions as the reward token for player engagement not just in VulcanVerse but for all the other games in the Vulcan Forged ecosystem (Berserk, Vulcan Chess, etc). As of writing, $LAVA can be used to upgrade land, upgrade Vulcanite stats, unlock game features in different Vulcan Forged games, and enter Tournaments.
You may check the LAVA whitepaper and PYR whitepaper for further information.
The Quadrants and Vulcan City#Copy URL to this article section
In the game, players are free to explore a very open and well-populated world consisting of four (4) quadrants (i.e. Boreas, Arcadia, Notus, and Hades) and a central city (Vulcan City). Let us explore these places one by one!
You may only enter the VulcanVerse if you have a Plot. Your Plot can be located in any of the quadrants. Each quadrant has its own landmarks and player-made structures.

The Mountains of Boreas#Copy URL to this article section
Boreas, named after the God of Winter and the North Wind, is a land of icy mountains, hilltops, castles, and mines. In this cold and unforgiving environment, only a handful of creatures can survive such as Minotaurs, Harpies, Cyclops, and the Sabre-tooth.

Hades, named after the God of the Underworld who once ruled these lands, is where rivers run red, the skies cry with blood, and the ground is covered with volcanic ashes. Here you will find The Palace of the Dead, The Necropolis, and The Plains of Howling Darkness. Those that sniff for death and blood such as Cerberus, the Furies, and demonic creatures crawl in these crypts and caverns.

Vulcan City, the capital of VulcanVerse, is at the heart of this world. This is where trades happen. Currently, it is still under construction, but this is where Khourai Khryseai, beautiful and intelligent automatons made entirely of gold will wander.

Vulcanites#Copy URL to this article section
As a mortal journeying through the VulcanVerse, you get to pick a companion Vulcanite.
Vulcanites are creatures that accompany mortals in their VulcanVerse journey. Every Vulcanite belongs to one of the quadrants. They battle other Vulcanites, forage for materials and artifacts, spy on other builds, and defend your Plot from other Vulcanites who spy on your build. They can also be used in other Vulcan Forged ecosystem games and dApps, such as Forge Arena and Berserk.
Vulcanites have different stats for Attack, Defense, Forage, and Espionage. For more information, you may check the complete list of Vulcanites at the VulcanVerse official website.

Cedalions#Copy URL to this article section
In the game, you will encounter other mortals along with their Vulcanites. Some of these mortals are land owners, while others are Cedalions.
Cedalions are players in the VulcanVerse who are part of a scholarship program. This means that they are renting or borrowing the NFT (in this case, a Plot) from its land owner instead of having their own Plot. By doing this, any profits the Cedalion makes will be shared with the land owner depending on their profit share agreement.
Cedalions are free to wander about and participate in anything they take interest in. Most activities will reward you with EXP and $LAVA if you meet certain conditions daily.
You can be a Cedalion by looking for a Plot to rent at the Vulcan Market or by applying for a scholarship with the Merit Circle DAO. You may join our Discord for more information on how to apply as a Cedalion.

Foraging #Copy URL to this article section
In order to build structures on your plot and trade with other players, you need resources. You can get these resources, as well as find NFTs, by foraging.
Once your Vulcanite has spawned, you can press “2” on your keyboard or press the forage in the hotbar to see the blue crystals on your screen. Click on one of these crystals to command your Vulcanite to forage. Every forage takes 90 seconds to finish. These materials will show up in your inventory.

You can do this by selecting the opponent’s Vulcanite, then pressing “1” on your keyboard or clicking the Battle button on the hotbar. If your Vulcanite dies, don’t worry! You can still revive them by pressing “4” on your keyboard or clicking the Rest button on the hotbar.
Note: 1XP per win, 50XP after 10 wins, Daily max: uncapped
Trading #Copy URL to this article section
At the Vulcan City, players can trade resources from their inventory with other players. To do this, you need to click on the player and click on the “Trade” button on the hotbar. Players who own Hermes (God) can trade outside of Vulcan City.
Once the trading screen shows up, drag an item from your Inventory into the trading boxes on the left. Click “Lock” then “Confirm”. Then, wait for your trading partner to lock and confirm their items.
Note: 10XP after 5 trades, Daily max: 10XP

The game is currently fully playable but with limited features, and it is in a state of live-service with continuous updates being rolled-out at a consistent pace.
A main reason to play it early is to take part in shaping what it becomes in the near future as the developers listen closely to the community. In the many things the game has to offer, building bridges with other players and communities in-game is also valuable and an accessible feat in your VulcanVerse adventure.
Now that you know the basics of VulcanVerse, you can learn about how to earn and cash out.
