The Bazaar is an innovative, free-to-play Hero-Builder game blending strategic multiplayer card gameplay with deck-building elements. The Bazaar challenges players to navigate a dynamic journey filled with merchants, encounters, and strategic choices. In each match, players build and optimize their decks, manage resources, and outsmart their opponents using a mix of offensive, defensive, and utility cards.

Core Gameplay Mechanics
The Bazaar's gameplay revolves around strategic deck-building, resource management, and tactical decision-making. Throughout each match, players navigate through a variety of paths and make choices that influence their deck’s strength. You can upgrade existing cards, purchase new ones from merchants, or engage in combat with NPCs and other players.

Card Types and Sizes
Cards in The Bazaar come in three sizes—small, medium, and large—each taking up different amounts of space in your deck. Small cards take up one space in your board and they usually have the smallest effects, medium cards take up two spaces and offer more impactful abilities, and large cards deliver rare, powerful effects but require three spaces on your board. Your strategy will depend on finding the right balance between these sizes to maximize your deck’s efficiency. You only have a maximum of 10 spaces in your board, so use those wisely!
Key card categories include:
Shield Cards: Protect against direct damage and extend your survival.
Healing Cards: Restore health or provide conditional benefits for long-lasting durability.
Damage Cards: Inflict harm directly or over time, using poison or burn effects to bypass enemy defenses.
Weapon Cards: Offer unique attack patterns and passive bonuses that can disrupt your opponent’s plans.
Tool Cards: Enhance other items, accelerate activations, or grant strategic bonuses when sold.
Property Cards: Provide rare, impactful effects that can turn the tides of battle to your favor!

Game Modes and PvP Combat
The Bazaar has two play modes: Ranked and Normal. Ranked play gives the player chests as rewards for getting certain numbers of wins, but entrance is not free. Normal mode is free to play, where you can win a ticket to ranked mode if you get to 10 wins!
Both modes offer asynchronous drafting for PvP combat, letting players compete at their own pace. Engage in thrilling tactical duels, where your deck’s strength and strategic use of items determine the outcome. Whether you’re playing casually or aiming to climb the ranks, each encounter provides a unique challenge.
The Bazaar Roadmap: Looking Forward
The future of The Bazaar is filled with exciting updates. The closed beta phase, running from October to December 2024, gives early access to backers and Founder’s Pack owners. The open beta launch in December will welcome more players to experience the game, with a full release slated for January 2025. Tempo has ambitious plans to expand the game, introducing new heroes, cards, and game modes that will keep players engaged and coming back for more.
