In your first 48 hours, stay away from Ranked Mode to keep your Shield intact. This lets you farm Gold and Oil passively.
Tip 2: Avoid Ranked Mode Initially
Tip 3: Prioritize Missions#Copy URL to this article section
Complete the Missions (see our guides for Missions 1-5) before anything else. Strikers, which are free initially, are your best bet for these early missions.

Tip 8: Target Enemy Defenses First#Copy URL to this article section
Destroying enemy defenses early on makes your battles easier and quicker. Once you get them out of the way, your chances of earning those stars increase.
Tip 9: You Don't Always Need 3 Stars#Copy URL to this article section
Sometimes, the best thing to do is to end your battle without getting all 3 stars so you can save your Heroes from taking too much damage. Otherwise, it is still recommended to play battles to the end so you can maximize your trophy and resource gains.
Tip 9: You Don't Always Need 3 Stars
How do you earn Stars and Trophies?#Copy URL to this article section
1 star - You get 1 star when your enemy’s Headquarters gets destroyed, or when you reach 50% total damage.
2 stars - You earn 2 stars when you achieve the other original objective, that is when you destroy your enemy’s Headquarters or when you reach 50% total damage (whichever you did not achieve at 1 star).
3 stars - You get all 3 stars when you destroy everything (not including the Walls).
Note: It is impossible to get more than 1 star in a raid without destroying your enemy’s Headquarters.
Trophies - You can get the full amount of trophies only if you get 3 stars in a raid.
Tip 10: Be Smart About Producing Units#Copy URL to this article section
Your Infantry Factory will keep producing Units while you’re raiding an enemy island, so it is recommended to begin unit production for your next battle before you start a raid. However, if you return home before you raid another base, these units will not be produced.

Tip 11: Replace Units After Battle#Copy URL to this article section
Once you deploy a unit to attack an enemy’s base, it must be replaced even if it survives the battle. This discourages players from attacking with more units than necessary to achieve the objectives. The only exception to this is Heroes.
