Raini: The Lords of Light (RTLOL) is a free-to-play fantasy trading card game in which players engage in strategic card battles. Developed by Raini Studios, the game supports multiple blockchains, including Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and Avalanche Blockchain.
Players assume the role of a hero aligned with one of the Seven Lords of Light. They command armies of mythological creatures to battle opposing heroes, striving for victory. Players can opt to use pre-made decks or create their own decks, each consisting of 40 cards. The game is currently accessible on desktop platforms
Gameplay
In the game, players have the ability to "stake" (sacrifice) one card during each turn, generating a colored gem of the corresponding type. These colored gems are utilized to summon cards. It's crucial to understand that once a card is staked, it can no longer be used
Effective management of gems is crucial, as any unused gems within a round cannot be carried over to the next round. The gems automatically recharge at the beginning of the controlling player's turn.
Players can summon as many cards as they desire in a single round, provided they possess sufficient gems for summoning. The game concludes when a player exhausts their opponent's life points
Card Type
Within the game, there are three distinct card types: Minion, Spell, and Season. Each type carries specific functions that enable players to craft strategic combinations and devise methods to conquer their opponents.
Minion Cards
These cards operate as formidable creatures on the game board. With varied statistics, skills, and roles, they play a pivotal role in securing victory. Grasping their damage capabilities and durability is essential for achieving success.
Spell Cards
This card category bestows an array of abilities and tactical advantages. These span from healing minions to dealing damage to foes, immobilizing opponents, or drawing extra cards.
Season Cards
These cards introduce overarching effects that influence the entire game board. Understanding their mechanics offers a competitive edge in battle.
Lords of Light
In the game, there are 7 Lords of Light that players can choose from, each symbolizing one of the fundamental gem types.
Players can identify the gem they represent by the color of their background. When players select them to form their deck and utilize them in battles, the initial gems they acquire will match the corresponding color of the Lord.
Gem Colors
The game features 8 different gem colors, each used for summoning cards. To enhance your understanding of their functions, owning a particular gem allows you to summon a card of the corresponding gem type.
There's also a rainbow gem color. If you stake a rainbow card, it replenishes a gem of any color.
